Basia Roszak

I don’t look for outside beauty in my painted people. My goal is to capture the moment, the mood: the happiness, the melancholy and sometimes sadness in ordinary people in everyday activities. Sometimes I want to bring memories to the viewer; happy moments from their childhood, long gone first love, being in the pub with dear friend. The bubbles in my paintings represent fragile moments and moods of the people frozen with the use of oil paint.
