Basia Roszak

Having lived in Poland, Canada and now Glasgow, Basia Roszak currently works primarily in oils and watercolours/ink, creating art which speaks a universal language and touches the spirit of art lovers across the globe.

Driven by her multicultural experiences, Basia’s paintings focus on people in everyday life, and through their dreamlike qualities, her works are often introspective and poignant, or occasionally whimsical, but always evocative and fresh. She captures poignant emotion in her character’s facial and body expressions.

Basia's art reflects the ordinary imagery of life, in an extraordinary way. Her work speaks a universal language and she has exhibited regularly with galleries in Scotland, and held solo shows in Poland and the USA. Her work also appears in collections across the world.
