My paintings pay homage to my classical training and love for Realism.
I am passionate about combining antique objects with the natural world in my work. In doing so, I explore the beauty and fragility of both worlds which unites us all in our universal experience of the passage of time.
Kintsugi pottery features heavily in my work as a spiritual metaphor for this fragility; focusing on the delicate repairs of gold which increases the beauty of an object otherwise discarded and broken.
